Michels said that Al-the-pal was needed and we should all vote for him. The GOP candidate Willimason was purposely selected to be loyal to the combine and take a dive. In protest those of us in the good government, anti-combine, talk radio movement crossed over and voted for Carole Mosely Braun. It was precisely us cross-overs that created the upset of Braun beating Dixon. It was our election of Braun that paved the way for Peter Fitzgerald to then attract that same group of cross-overs in 1998. Do LaHood, McKenna, Topinka, Kjellander, Savianno, Cellini, etal understand this and resent it? Or do they not understand it? Do we in the anti-combine movement understand how history happened?
